Real life brothers, hailing from Melbourne, Tom and Josh burst on to the local comedy scene with their unique brand of sketch comedy, jam-packed with hilarity, charismatic characters and superbly executed routines, which has seen them nominated for Best Comedy at Melbourne Fringe.

Since 2021, The Burton Brothers went international, with their first ever run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

In 2024, they went back to the past, with their highly ambitious - 1925 - a sketch show entirely based around the events of the 1920's - which has been touring across the country to sell-out crowds, and earning them a 4.5 star review from renowned publication Chortle. The success of 1925 saw the brothers named in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow national tour.

Tom Burton is a comedian, writer and performer. He is an improv and sketch ensemble member and teacher at The Improv Conspiracy Theatre. He has written and performed in a number of festival shows since 2017, including playing the titular host of an absurdist, late night talk show, Talkie Time with Jackie Lime, which recently finished up a limited run at Comedy Republic.

Josh Burton is a comedian and writer. He is a cast and touring member of Impromptunes The Completely Improvised Musical and performs on their award-nominated podcast. He also performs in Dizney in Drag - a comedy drag show. Alongside this he is a prolific children's performer, having performed in nationally toured children's show Roald Dahl and the Imagination Seekers and Signor Baffo. Josh appeared as 'Hot Ryan' in ABC TV's Fresh Blood series, Urvi Went To An All Girls School.

With their well-polished blend of sketch and physical comedy, The Burton Brothers' popularity within the Melbourne comedy scene has grown immensely and you will often find them performing at comedy rooms such as Yes Yes Yes, Shrub Comedy and Limbo.
